Hello there! Happy Fall…and welcome to my blog!
If you’re visiting from the Farmhouse Holiday Series, I’m so happy that you are here! Thanks for visiting today! I’m joining in as a guest with the sweet, talented hosts this week, to share my Fall Dining Room and table. I’m excited to share this room with you. It’s my favorite room in our home to decorate. It has the corner fireplace, with mantle built by my husband. It also has a lot of natural light flowing in. Our farm and buffet tables were also built by my husband, which makes this room so very meaningful to my family. It’s where we gather with friends and family around the table and share the best conversations.
So…let’s get on with the tour.
Although the weather here is still stuck in summer, with highs in the upper 90s…I managed to get my hands on several natural fall items to transition our dining room into fall. Mini pumpkins, princess persimmons, pears, tiny pinecones, and eucalyptus branches were my go-to items. I also came across a set of amber colored saucers from the Pioneer Woman collection, on clearance at WalMart. The blue hydrangeas and eucalyptus were left over from a church event this past weekend…and the colors just came together nicely. I was disappointed not to find a cinderella pumpkin anywhere, so I worked with what I had.
The mini pumpkins fit nicely into the little ironstone bowls and saucers. I just placed the eucalyptus branches down the center of the table, with persimmons and pinecones scattered throughout.
I used my beautiful linen tablecloth from Rough Linen on our farmtable. I love how the linen looks nice and casual for any table setting…with or without wrinkles :) And it provides a neutral background for pops of color for a Fall table. I wrapped the linen napkins with twine and adorned with tiny pinecones (which came from the craft store a couple of years ago).
I usually include at least one heirloom item on my table settings. And this one is no exception. The little glasses with handles were passed down from my husband’s mom. They have the prettiest gold colored “C” for Cunningham. I love how they match the fall colors on this table.
The pretty chair ruffles are from Pom Pom at Home. They add a simple elegance and texture to our dining room. The buffet table didn’t change much. I just added the picnic basket with eucalyptus & bread, some more blue hydrangeas, and more fresh fruit.
I updated the mantle as well. Hydrangeas in French jars and bottles, along with fresh pears, add a pop of color. Our sweet English bulldog, Jovi B, always likes to make an appearance in a photo shoot! She lays around in the weirdest positions!
Well I’m so very honored you took time to visit my blog today! Please take a moment to go visit all of the other bloggers as well! I hope you find some inspiring ideas and enjoy perusing all these sweet ladies HERE:
