Well Hello my friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous week!
Spring is definitely here…warm temps and weekly storms are a making the gardens come alive :) I’ll show you my herb gardens one day soon. But today I want to share photos of how I’ve used this old wooden crate in my kitchen.
On my last flea market trip to Canton Trade Days, my Tennessee friend, Amy and I found some great treasures. This antique crate was one I just had to bring home with me.
Here is my inspiration photo (below)…
after seeing this photo of a rack hanging above the island on Kelly Harmon Designs site…
(oh my heavens, I LOVE this kitchen!!!)
I decided to try my old crate above our island. I hung lavender and mint from the crate. But I think I could add an egg basket or two.
This weekend, our kitchen will undergo another transformation. We are installing new cabinets & countertops :) I’ll show you the finished photos soon..
I’d also like to ask if you would please take a moment to check out my new Sponsor, French Charmed.
I’m sure you will LOVE their French Farmhouse items!
P.S. Do any of you have a daughter who happens to love American Girl Dolls?? Well, my youngest daughter would love to get connected with them… she has a blog called Kyn's Kreations, where she shares her sewing projects and doll photo shoots. I’d love for you to visit her, it would make her day :)
Thanks so much for visiting me today! I appreciate each of you!
I’m joining Wow Us Wednesdays with Kim :)

ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI love that old sieve/crate and how you are using it in your kitchen...very clever and yes, some wire egg baskets would be awesome hanging there too. I'm looking forward to seeing your kitchen project as it progresses! I wanted to tell you that I received my copy of Artful Blogging and truly enjoyed your article. I really identified with your broken heart at the loss of your Mother...how important she was to you and how some healing has come through your blog. I too, lost my Mom to cancer just a year ago and miss her dearly. Your blog is delightful and I am happy that it has been recognized and featured in Artful Blogging. Good for you! :)
Take care, Laura
