CHAPTER TWO
Hey my friends!
I want to continue writing my small novel on our Tennessee friend’s visit, as I have so much to share with you about our time together.
Can I just tell you, Amy and I had a blast in the kitchen! We learned how to make Caprese Salad…which, happened to be a “first” for us both! Where have we been?
My Dad’s sweet wife happily showed us how she makes it, using fresh basil, tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. OH MY! We ate it for three days in a row :)
Next on the menu for game night, was Kettle Corn. Amy’s daughter makes it all the time for them…so, we purchased a popcorn maker, so that we could have HOMEMADE kettle corn anytime.
It was delicious! And, you see that cute apron my little one is wearing? Amy gave it to me as a gift :) My first apron!
The little ones spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen, also. They had fun making chocolate chip cookies.
And decorating piggy cupcakes for Kynli’s birthday, kept everyone busy!
Back to the subject of HOMEMADE… Amy makes everything! This girl has a wealth of knowledge about homemade cleaners, detergents, and so much more. I tried to write down everything that she said, however it was physically impossible. I learned so much from her Godly wisdom…not only about how to take care of a home, but also parenting, relationships, and life. Her family is a precious example of selflessness. And we are so grateful to her sweet husband for graciously sending them our way :)
If you don’t know Amy at All Things Home, by now- you should probably pay her a visit. She is gorgeous through and through. Also, be aware that she has a direct line to Heaven, and she will pray for any need! Words just can not express how my heart has been blessed by this sweet “sister” of mine :)
So this concludes my little novel on meeting up with strangers…if you’d like to check out Chapter One, go here.
Next up, I’ll be sharing my cabinet we picked up while in Canton at Laurie Anna's!
Blessings

Oh my goodness that salad was delicious!!! She did an amazing job coming in and whipping that up for us. I already have my balsamic vinegar and just need to get my fresh mozarella and then Beth and I are in business.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to eat one of your chocolate chip or peanut butter chocolate chip cookies at some time in their lives. AMAZING!!
I loved your novel and love that it is to be continued in our lives as we continue this friendship forever more. (even into eternity)
That salads on my save list!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a beautiful union! I must try out the recipe I just love tomatoes this time of year. Especially when they are right from the garden!
