Hey my friends!
Today I'm guest blogging over at Valarie's, Glimpse of My World,
where I share a yummy recipe.
Go check out her blog, you'll love her ideas and her RV is fabulous :) I want one!
Thank you so much, Valarie for allowing me to be your guest!
Well, if you've been around awhile, you may know I like to change things around.
I like to call it "refreshing" a room. Mr. Buckets of Burlap calls it ADD.
In our den, or family room, I've added a few new flea market treasures.
The chippy door and the ladder add a vintage wooden texture
to the white walls.
Well, you know I love burlap.
These are some coffee bean and potato sacks stacked in a wire basket.
I hung a few grain sacks and special baby blankets on the rustic ladder.
This is the wall behind the slipcovered sofa.
I found an old crate cut in half at the Canton flea market.
To add height, I turned it upside down.
I like the layers it provides.
I moved this long buffet table from the dining room into our den.
I am getting ready for a new cabinet arriving later in the summer :)
You know I like that pop of color from fresh flowers.
And this is another small wall in the den.
I used a garland of driftwood to hang hats from.
These hats were my mom's. She wore them during her battle with cancer.
I have reminders of my sweet mom all around the house.
Have you been refreshing any rooms lately?
I love visiting all your blogs! Such inspiration :)

ReplyDeleteLove your mother's hats and the way you display them. What a nice reminder of keeping her with you and sharing stories when someone asks about them. Blessings back to you.

I love all the beautiful touches and textures in your home, including the sentimental pieces. I am continuing to work on our living room and have been painting a few pieces of furniture.
