A Winner and Fresh Lavender

Hey my friends!
Thanks to all who joined in The Spring Giveaway!
The winner of the $25 Gift Certificate to Amy's Etsy Shop
is Robin from Happy at Home !!
Congratulations, Robin :)
If you will, send Amy a quick e-mail, she will get in touch with you :)

I'd like to share a few photos of how I brought a little lavender inside...

Before we plant these in the garden....

I enjoyed placing a few around the house...

Do you like lavender?

It's one of my favorites!

Fresh, dried, or little buds, lavender speaks "summer" to me.

It's already summer for us, the kids are OUT OF SCHOOL :)
Yay!
Lots of fun times ahead...
I hope you are having fun where ever you are!

Welcome to my new followers!
Thanks to all of you for making my day with your lovely comments,
and taking time to visit me!
I appreciate you, more than you know...
Blessings

Your lavender looks beautiful inside. Everything is just perfect, my friend. Your scales, your bottles, your milkshake maker, your milkshake glasses, your pears...shall I go on or should I just stop now? Becky, I love you and I love your style!!!! Are you going to fix me a homemade milkshake when I come to visit?

  7. Hi Becky!

Your indoor lavender decorating is just glorious! I especially love that 2nd photo down with the white container, swoon! I want to bring in lots of lavender.. I've been thinking about that! And I love lavender wrapped in burlap - yours looks yummy!

Thank you for the compliment! I got my 5 peonies at Whole Foods Market. I have seen them at Target, too.. but Target only has like 3 stems in the bunch. I didn't know that they don't survive your region. I planted pink peonies from root a few weeks back.. I am checking everyday to see if they pop out.. I need to just wait 'til June and then check, LOL. Have a great Monday!

    Big Hugs,
    Lara

  16. OH MY! I think I've read your announcement three or four times and still can't believe your have my name listed! I am beyond excited! thanks so much!

I love the look of lavender, just not a big fan of the smell (I understand that makes me VERY weird). I love how you have used it around your home. Has me thinking I may need to pick up a plant or two of my own the next time I'm at the garden center.

  18. Really beautiful pictures. And I LOVE lavender! It doesn't winter very well here in Wisc. so I end up putting in new plants each year but that's ok. I just love it. :)

  24. I love your header - terrific blog. Yes to lavender everywhere, anywhere. Your photos are great, what camera do you use? I am new to blogging and I can see my camera isn't doing the trick or could it be me.
    I will enjoy following you.

  25. Lavender is right up there in my book next to peonies, Becky! ♥ I should take out stock in those AirWick plug-ins in the lavender scent. They're all over my house! lol! My lavender didn't make it through our miserable winter, so I need to replace the ones I lost. Yours look so wonderful in the containers you chose! Beautiful! Have a happy holiday weekend!

  29. After the rabbits ate my ruellia plants to nubbins and killed them, I planted lavender instead. They won't eat that! And it grows well here in the Sonoran Desert! I will probably be planting more of it since my neighbor insists on feeding the rabbits (against HOA rules) and they are doing what bunnies do best -- multiply! After seeing your pics I think I am going to buy more and put it in the house! Thanks for sharing!
