Hi there friends! Welcome to my blog!
If you are visiting for the STYLED SET HOLIDAY ENTERTAINING blog tour, Welcome!
Our home is always busy around the Holidays…what a wonderful time of year to welcome friends and family! And of course, one of my favorite times to decorate our dining room farm table.
I’m not one to have any “Fall Decor” stored up in boxes…instead, I enjoy using natural elements that provide a vintage, country farmhouse feel.
I started with a beautiful vintage French sheet from ELSIE GREEN, draped over the table.
Using fresh fall leaves, I created a garland centerpiece… with gourd- Cinderella type pumpkins down the center of the table. I really like the subtle colors against the white.
I decided to keep the mantle very simple…French jars for another pop of color.
As chargers, I used my round French bread boards. They make a good contrast with the ivory China. And I used plain ball jars instead of traditional glasses.
I thought it might be fun to just place the napkins into the top of the jars. That way, each guest can grab their napkin before pouring the drinks. In the background here below, you can see our buffet table. It has a French bottle drying rack, an olive tree, and a few aprons hanging in easy reach. And there’s always a stack of extra dishes.
The last element I added, is the French pitch pots with candles and tiny pinecones. The candles are four different scents from Ivy and Stone Home…and make a pretty soft glow against the pinecones.
The pears were added at the end, and I thought they compliment the fall leaves so nicely. All my favorite colors, in one table setting!
And our table is all set for Thanksgiving! All we need is a kitchen full of turkey and dressing…and a table full of family.
I hope this inspires you to create something beautiful for your loved ones this Holiday season! Can you believe how fast the season is approaching?! Remember, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on Fall decor. A few branches, fresh fruit, and pumpkins make a pretty, all-natural Thanksgiving Table, perfect for entertaining! Keep it simple, and enjoy yourself!

What an ELEGANT and GORGEOUS tablescape, Becky! It's perfect for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing it today on my HOLIDAY GROUP Board on Pinterest.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving, ciao ciao!
Of course thé simpilar your table is set the more delightful presentation of the meal in giving of thanks plays off the settings. I love that you don't have that packed away storage bin you pull out with everything from plastic to dried and manufactured. A simple table setting of old hand me downs is a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteLove that you are in keeping with your farmhouse roots with a touch of French country-side to it.
The cutting boards are perfect, and the real pumpkins in that perfect grey green French like in tone plays off the only piece in this space that makes that stand out statement, and that's the French country-side Bleu cabinet fill with milk pitchers.
Yes Becky this is as close as I will get to Walton's Mountain I will get to this season in Giving Thanks to the harvest before us. It's a cozy welcoming table to sit at, thank you for the early share and all you inspire.
Xx
