Farmhouse Friday February Florals

Welcome to Farmhouse Friday!
It's all about decorating with florals this month :)
I don't know about you...but I find these winter months less inspiring,
when I don't have access to fresh flowers in my garden.
So, let me share with you my GO-TO florals for winter :)
One of my favorites is dried lavender. I hung a vintage fishing creel
full of lavender on our headboard. Lavender smells divine,
climbing into bed each night.
Another way to bring florals into your home during winter is adding
dried hydrangeas...these are from our garden, and happened to dry nicely
right on the bush at the end of summer.

However, if you don't have access to dried lavender or hydrangeas...
you can always purchase some fresh flowers from the grocery store.

I found these sweet little carnations for under $5 ! And they sure brighten up
the room!
I placed the little blooms in a vintage enamel pitcher...and it will make a
nice centerpiece on our island or kitchen table.

And that's just a few suggestions to help us get through the winter months,
until the garden starts blooming again :)
And just think...it's right around the corner!!

And enjoy your weekend!
Blessings!

  8. I agree - dried hydrangea and lavender are my fav for winter flowers! And I'm so thankful there are inexpensive fresh flowers available for cheap at the grocery for those days when it seems winter will last forever! I love your blooms against that awesome farmhouse sink!
