Happy Fall y’all! It’s Farmhouse Friday…welcome to our Fall home tour, I’m so glad you’re here :) Come on in…let’s start in the kitchen.
My style of decorating is vintage country farmhouse…and when the seasons change, I really like to use natural, simple decor. And you wouldn’t believe what I had to go through to get a few branches of colorful leaves :/ Here in Louisiana, it’s hard to find signs of Fall this early in the season.
I should mention…you will not see ONE pumpkin in our home tour :( I know! It’s crazy…but, I couldn’t find the Cinderella or white pumpkins. And, I will wait. Until then, check out these cuties! Strawberry corn! Have you ever?? I’m really loving the color :)
I did, however, find an abundance of these Princess Persimmons :) They are such a lovely soft orange color. I added them here in small vintage ink bottles on our coffee station, and you’ll see them again in the dining room.
Do you see the large vintage corbels below? Well, we found them at a local shop owned by my friend Terry…and we finally got them attached to the alcove between the dining and family rooms. I do love the way they look :)
This baking station is a busy area during the Fall season. We will spend a lot of time baking our favorite cookies and pumpkin muffins.
In our family room, I added some pretty colorful leaves here and there. And a favorite French burlap sack serves as a perfect pillow cover. I like to add warmth by layering textures like grainsacks or vintage sheets on our sofas.
Our dining room is probably my favorite room to decorate. It’s home of the farmtable my husband built, and my chippy blue vintage cabinet full of ironstone.
Although I do love decorating our home, and making it cozy for the upcoming Holiday season…my true love is my sweet family. We have lots of fun during the cooler weather months together. Outdoor dinners, smores around the fire, and late night movies or morning coffee on the deck…this is what I look forward to most of all :)
Now, I have a confession to make…I didn’t spend any money on decorating my house for FALL! Except for the apples & strawberry corn, I didn’t purchase anything new. I cut branches from trees. That’s all. So, if you are on a tight budget, and still want to decorate for Fall, just add a few colorful branches and fruit. You’ll be surprised how little pops of autumn colors can cozy up a room :)
Thanks so much for taking a tour through our Fall Home!! I’m so glad you visited here today :)

oh wow, Becky! I absolutely adore your home! It is soooo pretty! And all the amazing french farmhouse details! I could just sit there all day drinking coffee and soak up the pretty :) All the natural elements like the branches and fruit goes perfect with your light and whitewashed furniture. I have never even heard of strawberry corn! So cool! I will definately go out this weekend and find some fall decorations. Here in Norway, the leaves are allready turning in lovely, subtle orange and brown colors! Aaah, I love it! I am a little obsessed with small farmhouse benches at the moment, and I saw that you have several! Lucky you!
