An Herb Wreath & Watermelon Salad

The herbs are all blooming in the garden! I wanted to make an herb wreath this spring…using fresh herbs. I’ve had a few favorite herb wreaths pinned to my Garden Pinterest Board for a while…and finally had a chance to make one while Amy from Tennessee was here :)

So, we gathered these herbs: sage, rosemary, and Spanish lavender. Then we added some silver mound…which isn’t an herb, but made for a pretty addition.

Herbs 1

We used the smallest available grapevine wreath, which I already had on hand. We used some twine, floral tape, and floral pins.

Herbs 3

We gathered the bundles of each herb, twisted the ends with floral tape, and attached each bundle with the pins.

Sage first.

Herbs 4

Rosemary next, then lavender.

And last, we added silver mound.

There are so many uses for fresh herbs…a wreath is just one. And when it’s dried, we can still use the herbs.

I also wanted to share this Watermelon Feta Salad with you. It’s delicious.

This salad makes a fabulous side dish with any dinner! You’ll love it! I found the recipe in the book Bread & Wine, by Shauna Niequist. You can find the recipe HERE.

I hope you are having a fabulous week! Let me know if you try making the herb wreath, or the salad. I’d love to see how it turns out for you :)

Blessings
