Remember last November, when we had our Barn Sale? Well, I got this fabulous cubby shelf from the sweet ladies at Junkin on Main…painted it white and it’s one of my favorite pieces :) And remember in this post, when I said a Pinterest photo prompted me to rearrange furniture? Well…this is what I put together, after I moved the long buffet table out of our dining room:
I wanted to share the inspiration photo with you, which gave me the idea to use the cubby shelf, as an addition to a desk. I first saw this photo below HERE on Pinterest…and pinned it to my Clean & Organize Board. Isn’t the table amazing? I love all the textures added by the books and rolled papers.
Yes, my table is not near as curvy and detailed, but it works. I enjoy this little space…it’s in our dining room. It’s a great spot to sit and write blog posts, send emails, etc…plus, I’m not far from the kids at the farm table while they’re doing home school.
I made a quick, no-sew chair slipcover…using a grainsack, I placed half of it over the chair and gathered the extra with twine. Add some fresh lavender from the garden…and done!
The red bud trees are just about finished blooming…the leaves are now green and the pretty pink blooms won’t show up again until next spring. I took these photos last week, when I brought a few branches inside to enjoy.

Becky I absolutely adore your new desk/cubby space! It looks amazing and you've styled it perfectly. I love the soft touch of the fabric on the chair as well. Funny, that Pinterest photo is one of my all-time favorite photos (I think it's from Jeanne D'Arc?).
ReplyDeleteI just posted about your fabulous gifts on my blog. Thank you again - I love them!
