Hey my friends!
Happy February! This is a SWEET month, isn’t it?
I hope you are having beautiful weather wherever you are :)
Today I wanted to share one change we have made to our farm table. Remember, Mr. Buckets made it out of reclaimed lumber? On the table top, we added a gray-weathered stain. I simply rubbed it in generously with an old rag.
Before the gray stain, the top seemed too bright. This gives it a subtle, more “weathered” look.
I believe we purchased the stain at Home Depot.
It’s called Rust-oleum Ultimate Wood Stain- sunbleached.
We also applied it to the top of the bench.
The blue enamel pitcher holds the roses, and my antique veggie baskets display the candy tuft plants. I lined the baskets first with burlap ribbon.
I found these cool paper straws at White Flower Farmhouse. LOVE her shop!
And, speaking of shops…I will be opening my ONLINE SHOP soon.
No date set just yet, but I’m working on it :)
Some items you see in this post will be listed in my shop.
Guess what? Mr. Buckets & I are shopping the Canton Flea Market this weekend!
Will I see you there??
I’d like to thank you for stopping in to visit me here today!
I really appreciate each & every one of you. Thanks for your encouragement!
I’m sharing at :

ReplyDeleteI love your table and your vignettes Becky, for some odd reason I am still not receiving your post updates. I am signing up for email again today to see if it works this time.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos and great you are opening a shop, I am planning to also with a friend but NZ is a bit slow to buy on line. We are buying up vintage
finds and giving them a more modern twist but will be a some time before we have enough stock to open the store.
I might actually try your wash on my pine table I have just French washed as I like that grey look to the top rather than the yellowy old pine on my table top.
