I really have fun with photography now that I "sort of" know
how to use my camera.
Takes lots of practicing. Flowers are the best subject.
Check out my new french pillow slipcover.
I got it from Andrea at Faded Plains when she had an incredible 1/2 off sale :)
I love it! The texture and softness is fabulous.
She packaged it beautifully, with so many little vintage extras.
I used a texture from Photobucket for this shot:
And a grain texture to this one:
Did you know Donna at Funky Junk Interiors is having a

Beautiful! I love that blossom! I think I'm about to commit my first crime (stealing branches, LOL! ;-) I have just started to notice a few trees around here. We got some heavy rains and wind this week though, hopefully that didn't damage them.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking I'd love to get some faux white blossoms at the craft store, to have permanently!!
Have a happy weekend!

Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI love the redbud...reminds me of my grandmother...she had a tree and gave me one that I planted at a previous home....memories.
LOL about taking pictures of flowers...much easier, than say, children? Still shots are much more cooperative, no? Great shots!
Rene

Your photography is just SO GREAT! Very inspirational. I also "borrow" blooms and greenery often...I am surprized I haven't been arrested yet.

Love the red buds! Great photos too. I'm still learning on my blog. Yes I have for years picked things in fields. When my children were young I did it all the time. I haven't done it for a while, but am forcing buds from my pussywillow and forsythia now. A lot of the farm land and open wooded areas where I live are gone now. Sad to say, I miss them. Wish I had taken some of the wildflowers home.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and I love the pop of color your spring branches add!
ReplyDeleteVery very beautiful! I love these, especially the vintage! =)
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog....love the red buds! I will have to go cut some myself now:)
