Hey my friends!
Take a look at our view when we woke up this morning...
A snow day in Louisiana!
(Please excuse the attire,
we Southerners aren't exactly equipped for these type days :)
Every creature in the farmyard came out to enjoy the white stuff.
Sights around the farm...
It's warm and cozy inside by the crackling fire with some hot coffee.
But the view was inviting.
Think spring, think spring :)
Hope you are staying warm inside by a fire, too.
Plans for traveling to Canton tomorrow aren't looking good :(
Have a safe weekend.
Blessings
Becky C

What a clever way to repurpose a chicken feeder...that is a feeder, right?
ReplyDeleteSnow on the ground is a rarity here in Dallas too...thank goodness.
Debbie
Your snow days photos are wonderful ~ Love the adorable little pink ones! You are a clever gal ~ love those curtains.
ReplyDeleteI know, I think we might wait till Sunday to go to Canton, we want to hit the sale at Laurie Anna's! My daughter in McKinney went out on highway 75 yesterday about 5:00 and said it still was awful.
ReplyDeleteBecky those pics are so pretty. I am in love with those two pigs.

ReplyDeleteJeanine
Love the picutres. Enjoy your snow. It has been a wierd winter in the south hasn't it. we had snow in Ga and pretty much stop everything for a week. Have a good weekend, and be safe.
ReplyDeleteYour farm looks so pretty under the blanket of snow...the animals and your kids look so happy! Hope you are staying warm!! :-)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Janie
It has been a nice change of scenery from what we normally get this time of year hasn't it. Seeing your farm under a blanket of snow made me think about and miss my old house in the country. My post from yesterday was full of pics from our neighborhood of little antique cottages though. I loved it there and I love it here. Sometimes change is good. Thanks for sharing the view. Oh and CLEVER window treatment!! Love it!

ReplyDeletethis looks fabulous. Your animals are so cute! love the chicken coop!
ReplyDeleteBecky I am in Texas and we have had cold freezing weather all week. The kids missed 4 days of school, you know how unusual that is! I had plans of First Monday today too and that didn't happen! One week ago it was 75 now 20, only in Texas. Love your farm!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! It looks like everyone had fun playing in the snow. :) Stay warm and cozy yourself and I am thinking about Spring ALOT!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your photos. Every one is so interesting. Hope you get some warm weather soon!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the pictures of your farm animals, Becky. Those little pigs are the cutest (cleanest) pigs I have ever seen... so sweet! :) And, you and your kids look pretty darn adorable in your snow gear, too! :)

Great pictures! That's how we look in SC too since it doesn't snow here often! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks wonderful, Becky. We were supposed to get some this weekend and it never came. Glad because my husband and little one had to travel to East TN to visit his dad who was in the hospital. It left me and the two big kids home alone. Didn't really want to get too snowed in or him have trouble traveling.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable!
I'm sure the kids had fun in the snow!! It is pretty to look at, for a while...we sure are wishing spring would get here lickety split!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone is having a great time playing in the snow! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteWow girl, you got more than we did!

Hope you enjoyed your day in the snow! There's alot more up here in MI if you want more....lol!

So fun that you got snow! We were disappointed in Huston...all talk and no snow! It was my daughter's 10th birthday on our "snow day" that wasn't, so I gave her a pack of instant snow (the fake kind that you mix with water)!
ReplyDeleteI love your farm animals!
Happy weekend!
Linsey
Your pictures left me wanting more and more.... and oh yeah...I want a Pig too!!!
ReplyDeleteI live in Louisiana too and all we got was cold and rain. : ( I am originally from the northeast, so I would of loved to have seen some snow even if it melted soon after.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe.
So charming and cozy! The pink pigs in the snow and the rustic chicken coop have me smiling.

ReplyDeleteSuch a neat and tidy farm you have!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder those pigs look so darn happy!
Hope your kids got to build a snowman and make snow angels....
I cannot believe you have that much snow in Louisiana. I was born in Mississippi and grew up in Texas and Louisiana all my life. We were lucky if we saw a few snow flurries or something that might stick to the ground for 30 minutes. My how weather patterns are changing! Enjoy your temporary winter wonderland. Best wishes, Tammy

So glad I happend on your blog, such wonderful photos of the farm. If I cant be on a farm its the next best thing looking at all the wonderful farm blogs. You are truly blessed.
ReplyDeleteI will come back in a bit, bring some coffee, bundle up ( I see its cold there) and visit with the farm animals. You can toss me an ear of corn, a handfull of grain or some fruit while I am out there... I promise I will share it with the animals and not eat it... :)
Becky everything looks perfect at your place!!! I LOVE those little piggies. I just had a friend ask me if I wanted a couple of his piglets from a new litter, because the sow had too many to care for. I had to (reluctantly) decline, because I already have to get up twice a night with my son and I wasn't sure I could do the nightly feedings too. But oh, how I would have loved a couple of these darlings running around the place.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your beautiful white stuff.
hugs to you from here...
Oh my gosh! Such cute pictures! just getting caught up with my favorite blogs. Darling! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLinda
