Hi friends! How are you?
Are you having beautiful Fall weather in your area? We are delighting in the rain that has been falling the last few days :) And the leaves are just beginning to turn…ever so slowly.
Oh, Happy October! It’s October, yay! One of my very favorite months of the year :)
Today I wanted to share a simple Fall table I set this weekend for a family dinner. Homemade chicken and dumplings and Pear Bread was on the menu.
As the centerpiece, I surrounded a pumpkin with Japanese persimmons in a large ironstone bowl. I picked the persimmons from a tree at a local restaurant. The owner graciously let me have the persimmons :) I don’t know if I’ll use them in a recipe…but they sure look pretty on a table.
I also used mini-taper candles in small zinc pots, and used flax seed to support the candles to stand. I planted small kale plants in French pitch pots, and placed pressed real leaves down the center of the table.
And that is my simple, natural table setting for a family Fall dinner…
I hope you are enjoying many family dinners this Fall, too :)
Well, thanks so much for visiting me here today!
