Hello to all my sweet friends out there!
I promised I’d share some of our homemade Christmas
gift ideas with you this Holiday season…
I wanted to share with you my first soap-making adventure.
I’ve been wanting to try making soaps at home…
so I researched and found some
great recipes HERE on Martha Stewart's website.
We made cinnamon-clove soap, an orange zest soap,
oatmeal-honey soap, and lavender.
This is a great craft for the kids to get involved.
My “little ones” stirred in the ingredients and
grated the orange zest. (with supervision- it’s very HOT)
I love that you can chose almost any container as a mold.
We used little tart molds, Christmas tree ramekins, and
snowman jello molds.
We followed the Martha Stewart Soap Recipes HERE,
then let them dry overnight.
Packaging and/or wrapping the soaps is
fun, too!
You can also check out Martha's Soap Making Basics
if you are a beginner, like me :)
Well, I hope you get a chance to try soap-making
during your craft time this Christmas :)
Let me know how it goes…
P.S.
This is our early Christmas surprise…
say Hello to Jovi
Thanks for stopping by to visit!
Lots of love & Blessings
