Hey my friends!
I've been in the clean-out and organize mood.
My goal during this month is to live with ONLY what I LOVE.
(In addition to my family :)
All the spring winter cleaning sparked some fresh ideas.
I wanted to show you how I've used old things, (and some new ones, too)
to create a fresh, organized space.
And a tablescape, too.
(I used Photobucket to add a little texture to the photo above.)
I got some wonderful things from Laurie Anna's in Canton.
Put old with new, and I created this tablescape.
New burlap ribbon.
Dried lavender.
I used some of the winter cabbage from our garden.
It's growing like crazy right now.
I've never used a texture with my photos, but it gives a really neat look:
Some vintage clay pots hold the cabbage on the centerpiece.
The natural burlap drawstring bags I already had,
are used as the placemats.
The small dishes also came from Laurie Anna's last year.
My old bed-springs are used to hold sprigs of lavender.
The fluffy white hydrangeas came from Michael's, 50% off!
I love to use jars for storing dry goods.
And I wrapped some tapers in burlap ribbon to dress it up a bit.
I decided to display my pewter crosses.
I recieved a nice collection from many students when I taught Kindergarten.
Renewing rooms with fresh ideas.
What have you been creating this new year?
Blessings,
Becky C

ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun playing with your new treasures! Love your tablescape and all the vignettes! I have that same milkglass pitcher you have hanging on the peg. I actually have about 75 pieces of milkglass I collected this year for my oldest daughters wedding. She wanted each table centerpiece to have 5 pieces of milkglass in the center filled with various natural decor. Love all your creative uses for simple things especially the bed springs! So ingenious! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home. Blessings and happy homeschooling!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table. I saw you and your families pics on Laurie Anna's blog. Love that place.
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty I don't know where to begin. I, too, am wanting to live with only what I love. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5 (the cats stay :)

Ok Becky this has inspired to to dig in and redo my kitchen as well as my computer room. I have already started on it but just can't decide on what to do with all the shelving but I had some ideas... to cover them in burlap, a big job but I love the texture=always have. I have a lot of old burlap I had been collecting for years along with all my old fabric collection.

Becky this post is so full of beautiful things and beautiful pictures that I don't know where to start. Your entire blog is gorgeous! I read in your profile that you home school. I love home schooling moms. My daughter home schooled her children for about four years. They are now in public school, because my daughter is now working. It truly was a wonderful experience for them and gave them such a good start. I know how much work it is, but it pays off.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for stopping by and wishing me well, and your sweet words to me. I really have a blessed life.
sending you hugs

ReplyDeleteCouples have practiced their unique version of erotic sizegenetics within homes for decades. Some are skilled from the art of sizegenetics, and some are certainly not, but for most, the touch of these other is enough to instigate foreplay and a satisfying sexual experience. This will be an even more stimulating encounter for some every time you add the mystery within the unknown, when it really is with someone you never know, or fail to know well. It truly is not wise, however, to set yourself up for physical abuse or theft, simply relating to the experience of enjoying the hands on the stranger.

I want to do the same through out what's not important and just have what I love in my home.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely display, love the burlap with the white dishes.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures :) I found a similar tiered stand, and thought I would share for thos wanting their own: http://www.mothology.com/Garden_Baskets_p/wc-rd-tierc.htm
