Hey my friends!
Happy White Wednesday to you all!
Today I'm sharing my buffet table in the dining room.
This is one of my favorite tables to change for every season.
(or every week if the feeling should come over me)
If you have been following along for a while, you may know about this table.
If you are new, here's the scoop:
It came from Canton Trade Days in Texas, it's over six feet long :)
Made from an old vintage door, it still has the door knob and hinges.
I painted it white a few weeks ago.
For my Christmas decorating this year, I have bought nothing new.
I am continuing with the simple, natural vintage motif.
Calming.
The silver tray came from my mom, as did all the glassware.
The old vintage spoon was my husband's grandmothers'.
This summer, I found the vintage pastry molds at a flea market in Florida.
See where they are from?
I already had the faux round wreaths.
I used trimmings from Home Depot (for free :) to make the swag.
A view into the dining room.
"O Holy Night"
This is my all time favorite Christmas song...
The night of our Dear Savior's birth :)
Gives me chills every time.
Do you have a favorite Christmas song?
Thanks for hosting, ladies!
Thanks for stopping in to visit today.
I want to thank all of you for your kind comments about my dining table.
You made my day :)
Blessings,
Becky C
Your home is beautiful! Love the buffet table with all the vintage things! The chalkboard is adorable. Silent Night is such a wonderful hymn - along with Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
ReplyDeleteHoney, your decorating is sheer perfection! Looks straight out of a magazine. I live near Canton, by the way.

ReplyDeleteSimply stunning! Your talent for displays always blows me away! I really like how you used everyday items with such meaning and made it all work for the Holidays. The wreaths, the candles, the bottlebrush trees and the silverware are some of my "favorite" things from this grouping.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite songs is also, O Holy Night (sung by Andy Williams it brings back memories of singing along with my mother). I also like Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and What Child Is This.
You are a smart lady keeping it inexpensive. Your room looks so calm and glorious. I love all your whites and the chalk-board is such a sweet idea. My favorite song too, It makes me cry. Josh Groban sings it like an angel. Have a great evening. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Becky - I am in total awe of your beautiful buffet table and your dining room. It is SO beautiful! I have a small buffet table and two vintage shutters in my small dining area, so you really gave me some wonderful ideas on other ways to use them. Definitely going to be on the lookout for a large framed picture to morph into a chalkboard. Thank you! My fav Christmas hymn is "Mary Did You Know?"

Love your soothing whites of the season! I covet your bucket with your greenery nestled inside :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the blue tinted canning jars... the burlap on your template is awesome! How do you find time to do all this decorating when you're home schooling - amazing! I haven't bought anything new this year either and I will not - not only is money tight this year - it's just not necessary, we can make things beautiful and Christmasy without purchasing new items for sure if we are a bit creative and that is half the fun of it!
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog if you have a chance too - I found you via White Wednesdays ;)

Have a nice weekend. :)
